“Punishment?” I asked as I swallowed hard.
Apollo looked into my eyes, and I knew that we were about to enter a whole new territory to me. “You’ve known me forever, Greer. You have to know that I’m a man who gets what he wants, right?” I nodded my head. Only a fool wouldn’t know that. “Why didn’t you take off your panties when I told you to?”
“I… I…”
“It’s time for you to learn what kind of man I really am.” He let go of my wrists, but I kept them over my head because I felt that if I moved them, I would find out even more what kind of punishment he had in mind. He pulled the cups of my bra down, and he lowered his head over my breast. “No touching me,” he ordered, “and you don’t move unless I tell you to.”
My body shivered at his words, and I knew the kind of punishment he had in mind was going to be the delicious kind. “Apollo, please,” I begged as his mouth hovered over my breast. His breath caressing my skin was a light tease, making me ask for more. “Let me move.”
He looked up at me, his eyes dark with desire. “Move, and this becomes an entirely different kind of punishment. The kind that ends with you over my knee.” I knew his words weren’t an empty threat.
“I think that should be added to the list,” I whispered.
“It’s been there,” he growled.
“I think we’re going to be in bed for days trying to finish everything on that list.”
“That’s the plan, Greer.” He tilted his head back down. “No moving,” he reminded.
He placed a kiss on the side of my breast, and a tremor rocked my body. I was moments away from cumming again, and he was barely touching me. This was going to be over quick if I didn’t get a handle on my need for Apollo.
“This isn’t fair,” I gasped. All I wanted to do was run my fingers over his body and finally touch him.
“I’m not into fair. I’m into getting what I want,” he mumbled. He sucked my nipple into his mouth while his hand pinched the other one. He rolled my nipple between his fingers while his mouth sucked, nipped, and licked.
“I need more,” I begged.
His fingers released my nipple and snaked down my stomach and cupped my pussy. His fingers deftly parted my wet lips and his fingers sunk into me. “This?” he asked.
“Yes, please.”
“I love when you beg, Greer. I love it even more when you’re begging for me to touch you.” His finger stroked my clit, and it took everything in me not to fly off of the bed. I slammed my eyes shut and concentrated on anything but what Apollo was doing to me.
Apollo kissed his way down my body, the cold air hitting my breast. “I’ve dreamed of what you would taste like, Greer. You’re sweeter than I imagined.” His fingers spread apart the lips of my pussy and his tongue flicked my clit. “I could spend the rest of the night here and still want you.”
I moaned as he sucked my clit into his mouth and my hips lifted off of the bed. I wasn’t in control of my body anymore. Apollo was taking over my body and all I could do was lie there and let him have his way. His fingers pumped in and out of me, driving me insane while his tongue devoured my clit. With each flick of his tongue, combined with the magic his fingers were working, I exploded on his tongue, my hips bucking with each thrust of his fingers.
“Your body belongs to me, Greer. No one can give you what I can,” he growled. He pressed a kiss to the inside of each of my thighs and slid up my body. “Every touch I can feel you responding to me.” He pressed his lips to mine, and I could taste myself on his tongue as his hands roamed over my body and up my arms. He pulled my arms down, and I wrapped them around his neck. I held on as he rocked his hips into me and I moaned as I delved my fingers into his hair.
“Apollo,” I gasped as he pulled away. “What are you doing to me?”
“Making you mine so you’ll never want anyone else.”
My heart soared, and I knew that this was exactly what I wanted. Apollo Banachi wanted me and no one else.
Apollo
Greer had her eyes closed, and I knew that I was as close to heaven as I would ever get. I knew I wasn’t a good man, but Greer Cassidy was going to be my saving grace.
Her body was perfect, and I knew that she was going to fit me perfectly. “Sit up,” I ordered as I sat back.
She slowly sat up, a dazed and content look on her face and it made me damn proud to know that I was the man who put that look on her face. I reached around, unhooking the clasp of her bra and tossed it on the floor. She sat before me, and I felt like a man who had been starved for over a decade, and I was finally able to eat. “You’re too good for me, sweet Greer.” I knew that there were hundreds of men who were more worthy of Greer, but I was too selfish to let her go. I had waited too long for this moment, and I was going to have her for the rest of my life.
“Nothing is too good for you.” She cupped her breasts in her hands. “I’m pretty sure we were made for each other.”
I wasn’t going to argue with her about that. If she thought that I was good enough for her, I wasn’t going to talk her out of it. “Lie down back down, let me look at you.”
She laid down, her hands still on her breasts. “I’ll do whatever you want me to,” she rasped. She lay before me, and it took all my willpower not to toss her legs over my shoulders and pound the shit out of her. Greer had always been the one thing that could break me, and I knew tonight would be the night I would leave this room a broken man who would never be put back together. Greer Cassidy was the only thing that would make me whole.
“Touch yourself for me. I want to see your fingers on that wet pussy.”
Her hands glided down her body, and her fingers parted the lips of her pussy. Her clit glistened as I watched her fingers rub over it. I glanced up, her eyes on me. “You have no idea how many times I’ve done this and pictured you in my mind having your way with me.”
“You touch yourself when you think of me?” I growled. I wanted to puff my chest out and pound on it like a crazed man. This gorgeous woman before me was mine before I even touched her.
“Every night,” she gasped as she pinched her clit between her fingers.
“Put two fingers inside of you,” I ordered. She pumped two fingers in and out of her tight hole while another finger slowly rubbed her clit.
I slowly stroked my cock in rhythm with her fingers plunging in and out of her. “You don’t even know what you’re doing to me, Greer. I can’t even think straight right now.”
She hummed low and arched her hips towards me. “Now you know how I feel. You walk into a room, and all I can think about is you. Having you naked in front of me and not being able to touch you is driving me crazy. I need you, Apollo.”
Something snapped in me. The thing that had been holding me back for eleven years finally broke. I covered her body with mine and sunk into her in one swift motion.
Her breath rushed out from her lips, and she slammed her eyes shut. “Yes,” she moaned.
I planted so far into her, I couldn’t tell where I ended and where she began anymore. We were now one, and there was nothing that was going to tear us apart. I caged her in with my arms and slowly pulled out of her tight pussy. I could feel the walls of her pussy gripping me like a vise. “Fucking hell,” I growled.
“Don’t pull out,” she gasped.
“Never,” I growled as I plunged back into her.
“I’m close,” she breathed. “How the hell am I close again? What are you doing to me?”
Her pussy milked my cock as I plunged in and out of her. I had no answer for her because I was so far gone that there was no way I could form a sentence longer than three words. “Because you’re mine,” I growled. That was all there was to it. Nothing else mattered except for the feel of Greer’s body surrounding me.
“Yes, yes…” Greer chanted over and over. She wound her arms around my neck and put her knees up, spreading her legs further apart.
I didn’t think it was possible, but the next time I plunged into
her I sunk even further. “Fuck me, Greer,” I moaned. I leaned back, grabbed her knees and used them as leverage for me to pound into her. “Come. I need you to come with me.” I reached down, flicked her clit and felt the walls of her pussy pulse around me.
“Apollo,” she screamed as her orgasm slammed into her.
I plunged one last time into her, and I filled her tight pussy with every last drop of cum. “Mine. Fucking mine,” I vowed.
“Only if you’re mine, too,” she gasped. Her eyes were closed, and there was a small smile on her lips.
“Open your eyes, Greer,” I ordered. I knew that what she said, she really wondered. I wasn’t a saint all of those years waiting for Greer, and she knew it.
She slowly opened her eyes and looked up at me. “You’re going to have to at least give me five minutes, Pol.”
I smirked. “You haven’t called me Pol since we were kids.”
She shrugged her shoulders. “I guess I didn’t feel like Pol fit the mafia mob boss anymore.”
I shook my head. “That’s not me when I’m in this bed with you. Hell, that’s not me when I’m with you anywhere. You always have the ability to take me back to before my life changed and I started working for Leo.”
“I thought you and Leo were more like equals even though you’re his right-hand man.”
I shook my head. “No, we’re not.”
“Oh. I guess I’m going to have to learn all of this, aren’t I?”
“It would make things a bit easier for you.” I brushed her hair off of her shoulder and looked down at her. “But back to you asking if I belong to you.” Her body stiffened under me, and I knew she was thinking that I was going to break things off with her. “I’ve been yours since the first day I met you, Greer. I haven’t been a saint all of these years, and I know it makes me sound like an ass, but it was always you, no matter who I was with.”
“But, then why did you wait for so long?” she asked quietly.
“Because I’m not the right man for you, Greer. You deserve someone who doesn’t have the blood of another man on his hands and someone on the right side of the law.”
She looked up at me and shook her head. “Sometimes there has to be the anti-hero who really is a hero, but has to do the wrong things to be good.”
“I’m far from good. Every man I meet knows about me before they even speak. My reputation is anything but a hero, Greer.” I shouldn’t have done this. Greer and I never should have happened, but I couldn’t resist her any longer.
“This is my choice to be here, Pol. I walked into your room tonight with my eyes wide open. I don’t have visions of you stopping what you’re doing for me. And, everything you do isn’t all bad. You deal with the side of the city that the law turns a blind eye to. I know how I want my life to go, and it isn’t a hero I want. It’s the anti-hero who has flaws and sometimes does the wrong thing, but it’s only to right a wrong that was done in the first place.”
“I don’t know how you can see me like that, Greer.”
“Because I’ve loved you since I was fifteen, Pol, and I know that I could never love someone who is bad.”
“Don’t say that, Greer. You can’t love me.” She couldn’t love me. I knew I wasn’t worthy of the kind of love that she was willing to give me.
Greer sat up, threaded her fingers through my hair and pulled me close. She kissed me lightly on the lips and looked me in the eye. “You’re not going to change my mind, Pol. I’ve waited for this for years. Twelve years of seeing you with different women, wishing I were them, and thinking that I could never have you. I loved you back then. I loved you tonight when you walked into the gala, and I’ll love you tomorrow and every day after. I love you, and you’re just going to have to deal with it.”
“You're telling me to just deal with it?” She nodded her head. “Normally I’m the one telling people to deal with it.”
“Then I guess it’s time the tables were turned.”
“I have a feeling you’re going to keep me on my toes, Greer.”
She pressed another kiss to my lips. “I think we’re both going to be on our toes.”
I wrapped my arms around her, pulled her close, and rolled over, bringing Greer with me. She lay on top of me, our bodies flush and she looked down at me. Her hair was cascading around her face, and I knew I was looking into the face of my future. “I love you, Pol,” she whispered.
Fuck me, she fucking loved me. I may not be the best man in the world, but with Greer Cassidy loving me, I knew nothing was going to take her away from me.
“I love you, too, Greer.”

Chapter 1
Something I’ve learned in life, is that you can’t judge someone by what they project on the outside. There is always a whole lot more going on under the surface. Many of the people we deal with on a daily basis aren’t even people we’ll ever get to know. It’s the strangers that can piss me off the most, but I’ve come to understand that they’re probably having an entirely different life experience than you are.
So, don’t judge the fuck out of them so quickly.
Example; like the guy who flipped me off last week because I took too long to drive after the light turned green at the traffic stop. Maybe he thought I was just being a dick. He didn’t know my little three year old was tucked safely in her car seat munching on the French fries I got her from the drive-through window – even though her mom told me only to get her the apple slices. He didn’t know she was laughing and I’d gotten caught up in the moment.
He couldn’t possibly have known that the guy not paying attention to the light in front of him was thinking how much his life had changed because of this little girl and her mother having come into his life.
They’re the lights of my existence.
So maybe he had a shitty day. Maybe his girl just broke up with him by text message. Maybe he was late for work. Maybe he’s not just being a grumpy fucker.
I’ve got no clue.
I can let it go. No harm no foul.
How about another example; like when the server at the all-night diner gave me the wrong order, had to take it back and
gave me the dirty look. Instead of getting all bent out of shape, I let myself wonder what kind of a night he’d been having before I got there. Maybe he hated his career choice, maybe someone he knew passed away, maybe his boss was riding his ass.
Sometimes we think people are being assholes — and sometimes they are — but sometimes, they’re having it a lot rougher than we know, sometimes even more than we could imagine. And the attitude they’re giving and that look on their face isn’t about us at all.
I try to cut people slack.
Now that’s easier to accomplish in theory, or when minor shit happens, but it’s way harder to do when someone rams into the back of your fresh-off-the-lot rent-a-Porsche as you’re on your way to pick up your wife for a New Year’s Eve date.
God damn it!
I move the car over to the side of the Las Vegas Strip so I don’t block traffic. In the rearview mirror, I catch the woman driving the battle ram do the same then cradle her face in her hands. Like she wants to disappear.
Taking a deep breath, I work to calm my frustration before I step out of the car to meet her.
“Are you okay?” I ask first as she walks towards me.
She doesn’t meet my eyes as she begins, “Yes. Are you and everyone else in your car okay?”
“It was just me tonight and I’m fine.”
“I’m so very sorry.” She swipes her manicured nails through her coiffured long blond hair. “That was completely my fault. I was late picking up my daughter and was rushing.”
At that she swivels her wrist and glances worriedly at her shiny gold lady’s Rolex. She is very put together. Her dress suit and shoes are designer, the car is a spotless white BMW – except for the recently smashed-in grill – and her tennis bracelet is a string of high-carat diamonds.
